The Revered requirement with the Enlightened for the Unity on all slots recipe doesn’t make much sense anymore now that you can do the entire campaign in less than a week

The Revered requirement, and the rate at which you get rep, were balanced such that you would be able to learn the recipe to craft the legendary on all slots in the same reset as you would receive the Unity belt from the campaign, assuming you did your 3 daily world quests and your weekly Patterns quest.

However, now that the campaign can easily be done in a single reset, new and returning players can get the Unity belt in a couple days, but then need to wait for another month of doing world quests and dailies every single day in order to unlock the ability to get Unity on other slots or at a higher level. It would make a lot more sense for this recipe to be rewarded at Honored, because you can easily get Honored in about a week of play. Honored is also the point at which you unlock the bag with Soul Ash and Soul Cinders, so if a returning player wants to craft the Unity recipe on a different slot, they can immediately do so. Getting the recipe at Honored would be quite a big help for returning players to be able to catch up, especially for their alts.

I’m not sure how you guys would feel about this requirement being brought more in line with the originally intended acquisition target.

  1. It still makes total sense. The crappy belt is a reward from doing practically nothing, while the freedom to craft a 291 on any slot of your choice feels like an appropriate reward for putting in a few weeks of effort toward Revered.

But legendary recipes are accountwide? Like my DH hasn’t even been to ZM yet (still have the ‘Call of the Primus’ quest) and has crafted a Unity legendary.

  3. They didn’t lock it behind revered to time gate the second legendary, they wanted to make you put in work to get the best item in the game.

There’s no reason for them to remove the requirement. You can get the belt in a few hours, and then play with that until you put in the grind to be able to wear the second legendary where you want it. And you only do it once per account.

They definitely don’t need to, and shouldn’t, change this in any way.

  4. I’ve skipped out on unity because I can’t be arsed with another rep grind. That’s me being stubborn I suppose. I agree that it should be a grind though since you get a massive power spike from it.

That’s a great idea. The quest belt is just useless, should have been the real one instead. No grinding reputation at all.

  6. The power boost is mainly from the Unity effect. The recipe mainly gives flexibility in where you use it.
